Over the Easter Weekend the art group dressed up a small tree with beautifully decorated eggs and birds, in the German ‘Ostereierbaum’ tradition. It was a lovely sunny weekend and felt like a joyful celebration of Spring and the resurrection of life and light.
Dawn made a beautiful crocheted egg decoration saying Happy Easter. And decorated eggs and birds made by Nick, Robert, Sophie, Ken and me (Hannah ). Other members of the art group made birds and eggs and hung them from their own trees. It was lovely to meet outside again, as a change from Zoom.
Next year we plan to make this a community project and work on it over a longer period. So our Easter Tree next year will be bigger and even more elaborate!
